Production Assistant
About the Position
BE Dance Studios is seeking a highly organized, reliable, and resourceful Production Assistant to support all aspects of the studio’s performances, events, and production operations throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, enjoys systems and structure, and has a passion for creating seamless, memorable experiences for both performers and audiences.
The Production Assistant will be responsible for the care, organization, and documentation of all production materials — costumes, props, sets, music, and lighting — ensuring that every detail is managed with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Oversee the organization, cleaning, and storage of all costumes and develop a clear inventory management system.
Maintain accurate, detailed records of production notes, including music, lighting, choreography, and stage directions.
Keep an ongoing archive of Nutcracker production notes from year to year for reference and consistency.
Manage and organize props, sets, and backstage materials to ensure they are performance-ready.
Support the setup and breakdown of rehearsals, performances, and events.
Ensure all dressing room, backstage, and front-of-house needs are anticipated, prepared, and well-coordinated.
Collaborate with the Artistic Director, production staff, and teachers to ensure all performance details are executed smoothly.
Assist with all production-related needs throughout the year, including smaller studio performances and community presentations.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
Experience in production management, stage management, or event coordination preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable and flexible with availability, particularly during production seasons.
Familiarity with performing arts or dance environments a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Position Type: Part-time, seasonal with potential for ongoing work.
Pay: Starting pay $17 per hour
Required Dates: Must be available November 22, December 2, and December 7, 2025.
Reports to: Artistic Director
