About BE Dance Studios
BE Dance Studios is a thriving dance school located in the city of Miramar. Our studio is dedicated to providing outstanding dance education and presenting remarkable dance works for our students and community. We are currently fine-tuning and expanding our team and are seeking mission-driven dance educators who align with our mission and studio values.
We offer a variety of programs for ages 2–Adult and are currently seeking exceptional instructors to serve our program. Reporting to the Artistic Director, our teachers work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure every student and family feels welcomed, valued, and inspired.
About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and technically sound Jazz Dance Teacher who can bring vibrancy, musicality, and purpose to every class. The ideal candidate embodies strong classical jazz technique with an understanding of contemporary, lyrical, and Broadway jazz influences. You should have the ability to captivate and challenge dancers at all levels—whether they are training seriously or exploring movement for joy.
We are looking for someone who leads with clarity, confidence, and charisma, and who deeply understands the lineage of jazz dance. Someone who can connect the technical roots of the form to choreography that is current, engaging, and empowering for students of all backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Teach clear, consistent, and progressive jazz dance classes to students ages 6–18.
Incorporate jazz foundations while honoring its cultural origins and evolution.
Choreograph performance pieces for seasonal concerts and studio events.
Participate in monthly meetings and quarterly performance/curriculum planning.
Cultivate a positive, empowering, and disciplined class environment.
Support student enrollment and engagement through outreach events, trial classes, and community showcases.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with students, families, and staff.
Qualifications
Strong background in jazz dance with knowledge of key styles and techniques (e.g., Luigi, Fosse, Broadway, Contemporary Jazz)
Experience teaching in a studio or conservatory setting
Exceptional classroom management and communication skills
Culturally responsive teaching practices
Availability to teach in-person in Miramar, FL
Preparedness, punctuality, and professionalism are essential
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with choreography for youth and teen performances
Ability to teach additional styles (ballet, tap, acro, modern, etc.)
Familiarity with jazz syllabi or structured progressions
Experience working with both recreational and pre-professional students
Proficiency with Go High Level, Jackrabbit, or other studio systems
Availability & Schedule
This is a part-time position ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week (teaching & admin) depending on season and enrollment. Candidates must be available for scheduled classes and planning meetings. Monthly and quarterly teacher collaboration sessions are required.
