About BE Dance Studios
BE Dance Studios is a thriving dance school located in the city of Miramar. Our studio is dedicated to providing outstanding dance education and presenting remarkable dance works for our students and community. We are currently fine-tuning and expanding our team and are seeking mission-driven dance educators who align with our mission and studio values.

We offer a variety of programs for ages 2–Adult and are currently seeking exceptional instructors to serve our program. Reporting to the Artistic Director, our teachers work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure every student and family feels welcomed, valued, and inspired.

About the Position

We are seeking a versatile, passionate, and technically grounded Modern Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of modern techniques such as Horton, Graham, Limón, and/or Dunham, and is excited to teach classes that are both physically challenging and emotionally expressive.

This position is perfect for someone who values the history and evolution of modern dance, and who can connect their students to its deep cultural and creative roots. You must be comfortable working with students of varying levels and helping them grow in both technical skill and personal expression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach modern dance technique to students ages 6–18, with a focus on progression, performance, and expression.

  • Develop engaging, culturally aware, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.

  • Create choreography for performances that reflects both technical training and artistic depth.

  • Collaborate with other faculty in planning seasonal performances and class themes.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all students.

  • Participate in outreach events, trial classes, and promotional opportunities that support enrollment and community visibility.

Qualifications

  • Strong training in at least one major modern technique (Horton, Graham, Limón, Dunham, Cunningham, etc.)

  • Experience teaching modern dance to youth in a studio, school, or conservatory setting

  • Ability to connect movement to storytelling, music, and student creativity

  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and cultural competency

  • Punctuality, preparedness, and reliability are non-negotiable

  • Available to teach in-person in Miramar, FL

Bonus Qualifications

  • Ability to teach additional genres (jazz, ballet, composition, etc.)

  • Experience choreographing for youth concerts or competitions

  • Familiarity with youth development and child-centered pedagogy

  • Proficiency with Go High Level, Jackrabbit, or other studio software

Availability & Schedule
This is a part-time position ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week (teaching & admin) depending on season and enrollment. Candidates must be available for scheduled classes and planning meetings. Monthly and quarterly teacher collaboration sessions are required.
