About BE Dance Studios
BE Dance Studios is a thriving dance school located in the city of Miramar. Our studio is dedicated to providing outstanding dance education and presenting remarkable dance works for our students and community. We are currently fine-tuning and expanding our team and are seeking mission-driven dance educators who align with our mission and studio values.

We offer a variety of programs for ages 2–Adult and are currently seeking exceptional instructors to serve our program. Reporting to the Artistic Director, our teachers work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure every student and family feels welcomed, valued, and inspired.

About the Position

We are seeking an exceptional Tap Dance Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in rhythm tap, a deep appreciation for tap history and technique, and the ability to inspire both recreational and pre-professional dancers. We’re looking for someone who values clarity of sound, musicality, and storytelling through tap—someone who can ignite excitement in beginners while challenging more advanced students.

Your role will involve teaching children and teen classes with the possibility of expanding into adult offerings. You’ll also be invited to contribute to curriculum design, performance choreography, and seasonal planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach progressive, technically sound, and rhythmically engaging tap classes.

  • Foster creativity, confidence, and musicality in every student.

  • Prepare students for performances, evaluations, and milestones.

  • Collaborate with the Artistic Director and faculty on lesson planning and show preparation.

  • Attend monthly faculty meetings and quarterly planning sessions.

  • Support studio growth through participation in trial classes, community events, and promotions.

  • Create an inclusive and respectful class environment that supports all learners.

  • Communicate consistently with families and staff in alignment with BE Dance values.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in rhythm tap technique

  • Demonstrated ability to teach children and teens in a studio environment

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Cultural sensitivity and alignment with BE Dance Studios’ values and community

  • Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and preparation

  • Must be available on-site in Miramar, FL

Bonus Qualifications

  • Knowledge of tap history and influential styles (Hoofing, Broadway, etc.)

  • Experience with choreography for youth performances

  • Ability to teach additional styles (jazz, acro, musical theatre, etc.)

  • Familiarity with tap syllabi such as Al Gilbert, United Taps, or similar

  • Comfort using Go High Level, Jackrabbit, or other studio management software

Additional Expectations:

  • Attend monthly and quarterly faculty meetings

  • Participate in performance planning and participate in developing curriculum

  • Maintain regular communication with studio leadership and families

  • Participate in student assessments

  • Align with BE Dance Studios’ commitment to inclusivity and excellence

Availability & Schedule
This is a part-time position ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week (teaching & admin) depending on season and enrollment. Candidates must be available for scheduled classes and planning meetings. Monthly and quarterly teacher collaboration sessions are required.
